Claire Tayler, or just Claire. Works as a social media writery type. Sometimes words make it onto this blog too. Her own views obviously. It would be ridiculous to have a blog otherwise.
Likes digital media, tech and advertising. Also likes adventures, music, making colourful food stuffs, and knitting socks, so content's a mix.
In her other bits of spare time, writes things for Bitchbuzz and Bored of Brighton, a one-a-day guide to Brighton.
I have never heard Caitlin Moran talk. She is more northern than my complete lack of research suggested. Alas, she also does not talk in capital letters as much as expected but unsurprisingly she does ramble excitedly. Jolly good.
As I was pottering about the internet spying at a few quotes from what everyone says is a marvelous book, I came across this little video of a behind-the-scenes of a Times photoshoot. Parading about in posh person clothing (I have my royal wedding-related suspicions as to why) this made me smile. Especially the Prince Harry lookalike who seems quite hurt not to be recognised as Brad Pitt.
In keeping with everyone else, this is my Caitlin Moran-themed post. I’ll probably acquire ‘How to be a Woman’ from an Oxfam when it’s in paperback as I struggle to overcome a disdain of buying any ‘chick books’ brand new.
Look here, this is glorious – and not just because there is a guitar-playing Yeti. This beautiful animation’s a story about a trip through time and whilst there’s so much going on it it, it keeps a lovely simplicity. The graphics and texture are perfect. And it sounds gorgeous too.
Animated by Rodney Selby and directed by Ned Wenlock. Read about the making of it here.
These are adorable, aren’t they? We found ourselves at a loose end at the Brunswick Centre near Russel Square in search of a big gingerbread house (which turned out to be for children – some flawed research). Surrounded by children and French Connections, the square didn’t strike me as somewhere to find gorgeous cakes. I’d been spying at a lemon meringue recipe recently – it might be time to acquire an over the top mini-blowtorch and get cooking. I’m going to try and do little piped peaks like this when I do, I think they’re quite wonderful.
