Answer: Only if it lets me buy sexy lightbulbs.
Like Pinterest and 80% of Tumblr, there’s no real lack of ‘I like this’ sites around the internet, each letting you click items, photos and pictures that you like and add them to a list. Ah, uniqueness. There’s a new site called Fancy I had a play on this week. At first glance it’s a list of said items, photos and pictures, which you have the option to click ‘Fancy’ on, to add to your own list. The unique thing this site offers is the option to go to buy whatever’s in the picture. Which is interesting when you discover it because it doesn’t look anything like a shop’s catalogue – it’s all very ‘mood boardy’ with the option to buy. So next time I find a retro style mug (as I inevitably will), it won’t go onto my list of gorgeous but unattainable goods, I can click through to the site itself.
I’m cooing at these lightbulbs at the moment.

And it gives you 10% off certain stores (including Bouf) when you’ve unwittingly ‘Fancied’ enough of their goods.
Found through Matt O’shea.

I realised something this week. I haven’t written about my new job yet. It’s now the end of week 5 and today had an amazing revelation.
I’ve worked in Digital PR teams and in a media agency, and now I’m in a creative agency. One thing I love is the people and how human they are. And also that they wear brogues. I work with Jed Hallam, who has a great capacity for wearing stripey shirts, and Graham Drew who has a similar capacity for wearing scarves. As an Art Director I think this is pretty obligatory. Our MD just won the company award for bad fashion. Combined my habit of living in one pair of jeans, I think we make a great team.
Today I got to the end of my notepad. At the back, in week 1, I started a buzzword bingo. And today I realised that I’ve only got one box filled out. And that comes from Tom Park who said described his time as “spare capacity”. And if that’s it for five weeks, I think I’ve landed on my feet.

Liberty of London has always been a little bit special to me. Perhaps because my Mother gets disproportionately pleased whenever she sees it and it’s rubbed off just a touch. Every time my we visited Carnaby Street and Liberty’s in the last 15 years I’ve been gleefully regailed with a story involving the 60s when The Beatles were hip and happening Carnaby Place was the place to be. And how we must visit Liberty’s, which has slowly morphed into the epitome of an Oxford Street Christmas for me over the years.
Unfortunately, this has led to every trip to Liberty and Carnaby street regurgitating this story to everyone I visit it with, every single time. Luckily I have patient friends who humour me by feigning interest each time.
And Liberty’s has a special line in flowery material, which they use for collaborations. These are – on the whole – awesome. The Nike trainers are an awesome example of this (though I’m more of a Converse girl, so if they could rustle some up I’d be dead happy).
But er.. I have mixed thoughts on their latest venture with Hello Kitty. I think it might have done the impossible and made it .. okay?

They’re also selling the fabric itself which is a sweet touch. (not convinced I’ll be making a dress for myself out of it though)
